What role did this course play in my EM journey?
Through my transformative journey through the Emerging Media Masters program at the New Media Institute has been marked by growth in new media production, SwiftUI, and UX design, culminating in the development of the RoblUGA capstone project. This virtual UGA campus on the Roblox platform has the potential to revolutionize the college tour experience for prospective students, showcasing the power of emerging media in higher education. As I continue to apply the lessons learned and experiences gained from this program, I look forward to making a difference in the world of technology and beyond.
Capstone 1.0
During my Capstone journey, I created RoblUGA, a virtual University of Georgia campus on the Roblox platform, aiming to revolutionize the college tour experience for potential students. Despite challenges in Roblox development and creating realistic 3D models of iconic UGA landmarks, I immersed myself in the UGA community, drawing inspiration from students and alumni. Ultimately, I built a fully functional virtual campus showcasing UGA’s unique traditions and culture, providing a cutting-edge platform for exploration and capturing the university’s passion. This project fills me with pride, as it leaves a lasting impact on college recruitment and the UGA experience.
