What role did this course play in my EM journey?
This course was very important in my journey because it helped me learn and understand new management techniques and methods. The importance of this knowledge is critical, and I can put these ideas into action from day one. Project management when done correctly, it helps every aspect of the business run more smoothly. It enables your team to focus on the important work without being distracted by tasks that go off track or budgets that spiral out of control.
Module 1
This is our Project Management course’s final presentation. We were tasked with conducting research and creating a presentation on Agile Method, a project management strategy. While creating this presentation, I was able to learn not only about Agile but also about a variety of other Project Management methods.
Module 2
In Module 2, we were guided through the Sprint one day at a time to understand the ideation and execution processes better. As a group, we came up with the concept of a digital integration that allows customers to find a show to watch on streaming services easily. Each day of the sprint, we refined our concept, made a few key pivots, and eventually created a product that was ready for testing.
Module 3
Students in the Emerging Media program must complete a capstone project to represent their program learnings. This project’s development began in this course module. My team and I brainstormed, researched, and created MVPs for three different problems that an emerging media solution could solve. We chose the following three problems: Plant Identifier App, Athleta Teen VR, and Campus Recruiter App.
